King's Brand 20 - Piece Non-Stick Gold-Plated Stainless Steel Cookware Set

With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.
You can trust this review, i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

Not a chef, just a cook
I have only used the skillets so far, and I am very pleased with the non stick coating. It seems to be the latest "Silverstone" teflon II. The thick encapsulated bottoms offer quick even sustained heat transfer. The glass lids fit well and have vent to help prevent boil over. The metal handles are very thin and lightweight. The light gold handle plating is my biggest concern. I expect a possibility of discoloring with extended use and will take precautions. So far seems well worth $85 and glad to phase out the under $50 cookware I've collected over the last 23 years.

Very light duty, poorly made, work well with induction.
This set had a list price of $500, which having now seen the set is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I guess a few molecules of gold spread on the handles must add $450 to the value of the set, because the pots and pans themselves certainly don't warrant it. I thought I was getting a deal on these at $90, but that is the most they are worth.

The steel is unbelievably thin, and the burnished bottoms are pitted and rough to the touch, revealing the lack of finishing in these pots. On the bright side, they are very light weight. Don't drop them though, I suspect you will regret it.

The non-stick surface is perfectly fine, and they work very well on an induction cooking surface. The pans all have a large raised bump dead in the middle of the frying surface, however. I am not sure if there is some reason beyond poor manufacturing that is responsible for this, but to cover the bottom of the pan you will need to use a lot more oil than it seems to me...
Stainless steel cookware
The metal is very thin and will dent easily. The handles are spotwelded to the pans and do not look very sturdy. I have a concern that they would give way with a heavy pan of liquid if the pot or pan was not held on both sides. I anticipate that the gold plating will not last very long. The non-stick feature seems to be good.
