I recently purchased this set to replace 40 years of worn out odds and ends. The cookware sizes I've used most over the years are in this set so it was an extremely good buy, no piece will be unused. They are clearly advertised as 18/10 stainless which is a must. The tri-ply clad runs up the sides of the pan, not just on the base, which is touted to be superior construction by American's Test Kitchen. Pork chops and chicken breasts have been transformed from bland to exceptional due to even cooking and the ability to follow up with a delicious pan sauce from the fond that accumulates while cooking. No worries about acid tomato sauces or wine additions like my cast iron pans either. As long as the pan is heated before adding oil or butter, then add food; sticking issues are eliminated and cleanup easy. Tougher spots take a swipe or two of Bar Keepers Friend powdered cleanser. Re: Egg Lover's review -- I have had no problem with these pans. LOVE them! Like the other reviewer states, a bit of Barkeepers Friend works on any stains or marks. And if you heat the pan before putting in the fat --- which you should do with ALL pans you use --- the eggs won't stick.
Before you give a negative rating you should be sure you know enough to provide a trustworthy review.
These pans are not only nice looking, they provide even heat. I am amazed every time I use them. I also have copper pots and pans, but these don't require the care that the copper pans do.
I have a friend who has been using All-Clad for decades and these are pans that will last a lifetime. You'll be able to pass them on to your kids!

I do not understand the raves about this line- All- Clad Stainless Cookware- the first day after carefully washing my shiny new saute pan I added water and poached eggs for breakfast. White ghostlike outlines remained on the pan showing position of each egg which were very difficult to remove. Scrambling eggs the next day, using lots of butter after my experience of the day before, left a laminated yellow film equally difficult to deal with. Very disappointing
