Nothing special, but better than expected
When looking for a set of inexpensive pans (or any price pans)made of stainless, the key things to look for are polished interiors and a thick bottom. Bought these for some temporary apartment living based on the fact they listed the aluminum thickness (assuming if they don't tell you, they don't want you to know).
These are nice, and exactly as described. Are there better pans out there...yes. For the price? If so, not by much. Good product.

Great for the price
This set has been great! On a college budget, it fit the price range perfectly. I really like the glass lids. Everything cleans up easily. The handles can sometimes get hot, so I'm careful. I like the variety of sizes. We love the stock pot and the covered saucepan- 2 things we didn't have before that are both so handy.
The bottoms of the pans are an added piece- extra thickness for handling heat. My husband noticed that when he soaked them once, water came out from the seam between the extra layer and the pot. I haven't noticed this, and it doesn't bother us enough to return them or anything. To be clear, this set does not leak. There aren't any holes in the part that holds food. Just in the seam below it.
Overall I'm very happy with the product for the price. I love cooking with them - I use a whisk or a wooden spoon without fear of teflon flecking into my food! They are a great starter set.
We use them almost everyday and I'm very happy with them!
