FABULOUS COOKWARE
I WAS TRYING TO REPLACE MY COOKWARE OF OVER 20 YEARS. THIS SET OF COOKWARE FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. IT IS VERY EASY TO WASH, IS DISHWASHER SAFE, AND VERY SCRATCH RESISTANT. I LOVE IT, MY ONLY CONCERN IS THAT IT DIDN'T COME WITH A 3 QT SAUCEPAN.

I was genuinely surprised by these pans; good pick for new cooks
For a single, college-aged individual or a couple that is just starting to figure out their cooking tool needs, this is a fine set to add to the kitchen. I am surprised to be typing that. Here are my reasons for awarding four stars:
1) Use your favorite metal kitchen tools: Normally, I hate nonstick pans. The convenience of easy cleanup seems to always be counteracted by my inability to use my favorite cooking tools, which all happen to be metal. Normally, using metal on a nonstick surface is a huge no-no. But with this set, metal tools can be used and there is no scratching as the pans have a metal guard nonstick coating. For people just learning to cook, more industrial surfaces are also a bonus.
2) The weight: I was happy with the weight of the individual units. They are of a mid-range weight. If you bump one on the stove, it shouldn't go flying off. The weight is not so substantial that you cannot pick one of the skillets up with one hand...
Nice set - all you need to host a good meal - the bulging rivets might be an issue
This is an aluminium cookware set coated with stainless steel on the outside and non-stick teflon on the inside. It looks beautiful and works efficiently. We have used some of the items a few times now and dont see any "burn marks". The stocks pot and sauce pans in two different sizes are efficient to cook different items. The skillets work well too (nice sloped surface makes it easy to stir fry). The handles are made of stainless steel and attached through rivets to the vessels. The handles dont get hot and make it easy to lift the pots.
The one complaint I have is about the rivets visible on the inside - sometimes food gets dried on and around the rivets and make it a bit hard to clean - you might end up damaging the non-stick coat if you rub too hard. I wish they had it designed a bit differently.
